Hurricane Earl
Earl struck Anegada as a category 4 hurricane on August 30, 2010. The center of the storm passed 20 miles to the north of us.

Please note: These pictures look horrific, but Anegada is a remarkably resourceful and resilient island. The damage from Hurricane Earl was quickly repaired. By the time that the 2010 tourist season reopened, Anegada was cleaner, brighter and better than ever.
