Photo of
The catamaran continuing its ill-fated approach to Anegada. The skipper of this catamaran was apparently navigationally challenged, as there is a prominent reef just ahead of him that is preventing him from reaching the beach. We first spotted this catamaran sailing north beyond the west end of Anegada, and knew that he had missed the island. He then turned and attempted to approach the island by motoring southeast, directly toward the reef, as shown in this photo. You can see two people up on the bows looking for reef. The reef is visible near the center of this photo, where small waves are breaking.
